Position Summary

North Side Community School is seeking a full-time Pre-School Teacher.

If you are a certified early childhood educator with:

Essential Functions

• Create a positive, nurturing, and welcoming classroom culture where students feel encouraged and willing to take risks
• Employ engaging, differentiated instruction to teach skills effectively
• Develop positive behavior plans, routines, and procedures that support engagement in learning
• Assess students’ skills and learning needs
• Track and reflect on student progress
• Monitor behavioral patterns and arrange interventions when needed
• Build strong parent relationships and communicate regularly about student progress, strengths, and challenges
• Participate actively in the school community while supporting the mission and guiding principles of NSCS
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, including meeting deadlines and commitments to students, families, and colleagues
• Administer and analyze formal and informal assessments using both quantitative and qualitative data to guide instruction
• Participate in professional development and team meetings
• Demonstrate a commitment to helping NSCS students thrive
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills & Characteristics

• Experience with the Apple Tree Every Child Ready Curriculum is a plus
• Ability to implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Ability to use student data to create differentiated long-term and short-term plans
• Strong collaboration skills across grade-level and school-wide teams
• Commitment to implementing a growth mindset in the classroom
• Ability to use effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement as an educator
