Social Worker (Elementary)
- Individual and Group Counseling:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions to address students' social and emotional needs. b. Facilitate group counseling sessions to promote social skills and emotional resilience. 2. Assessment and Intervention:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to address identified concerns. 3. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with teachers to implement classroom-based social-emotional learning programs.
- Work closely with parents to provide support and resources for addressing students' social and emotional challenges.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Provide immediate support and intervention during crisis situations affecting students. b. Collaborate with school staff to develop crisis response plans.
- Resource Referral:
- Connect students and families with external resources and services to address their unique needs.
- Maintain a network of community resources to enhance support options.
- Advocacy:
- Advocate for students' social and emotional well-being within the school community. b. Collaborate with other school professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student success.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and interventions. b. Provide regular reports to school administrators on the effectiveness of social-emotional programs.
- Degree in Social Work or related field.
- State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably at the elementary school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Planning and Oversight:
- Determine and use procedures for referrals, identification, diagnosis, case termination and follow-up of Speech/Language Pathology students.
- Establish daily schedules for assigned students according to service minutes established in the IEP.

- Screening, Testing, Diagnosing and Advising
- Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations as required by federal, state, and district guidelines.
- Analyzes and interprets information to make recommendations regarding the need for speech-language services.
- Determines the effects of the student’s impairment in regard to accessing the general curriculum.
- Utilize allocated coordination time to perform additional professional responsibilities including developing and updating therapy plans, holding parent conferences, staff consultations, and classroom observations.
- Schedules interventions using a variety of service delivery models, including classroom intervention, consultation/collaboration, and pull-out as appropriate to meet student needs in the least restrictive environment
- Consult and collaborate with members of students’ teams to monitor academic progress and
- Design/implement IEP accommodations/modifications.
- Managing and Conducting Therapy
- Develop and implement an IEP (and other supporting paperwork) for each student within mandated timelines
- Attend and serve as a member of the IEP team to determine the eligibility of students
- Complete progress reports for each student served.
- Screening, Testing, Diagnosing and Advising
- Maintain an individual folder for each student that contains all forms required by federal and state mandates.

- Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology required
- Missouri Speech and Language Pathology License required for the position
- Experience in pediatrics/school-based speech and language therapy strongly preferred

- Maintain donor database: gift entries, acknowledgment letters, monthly reporting, and reconciliation with accounting
- Assist with grant writing
- Assist with prospect identification, research, and cultivation
- With the development team, establish and meet annual development goals
- Other duties as assigned
- Assist with writing donor communication materials
- Maintain donor relations through phone calls, emails, and letter correspondence
- Support North Sides marketing and communication efforts on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, the website, and Constant Contact
- Assist with logistics of annual gala including support with managing guest lists and registration, sponsorship packets, and day-of support
- Assist with additional events as needed
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least two years of related work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and G-Suite
- Experience with Donor Management Systems (DonorPerfect experience preferred)
- The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, nonprofit management, or another field of relevance
- At least two-three years of communications/marketing experience
