At North Side Community School, learning doesn’t stop when the final bell rings.
Our After-School Program gives students a structured, engaging environment where they can complete homework, explore new interests, build friendships, and continue developing the skills that prepare them for long-term success.
These hours are an extension of our mission — supporting the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally.

What Students Experience
Academic Support
Dedicated homework time and small-group guidance help students strengthen skills and stay on track. Our staff reinforces classroom learning while giving students the extra attention they need to thrive.
Enrichment & Exploration
Students participate in hands-on activities including art, music, STEM projects, sports, and creative clubs. The program encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Social & Character Development
Through teamwork, leadership opportunities, and structured group activities, students build communication skills, resilience, and positive peer relationships.
Healthy Snacks & Active Play
Nutritious snacks and supervised recreation keep students energized and engaged throughout the afternoon.

North Side’s after school program is proudly funded by a grant by the Missouri Afterschool Network, which includes a robust evaluation of the program.
