Many companies offer matching gifts for educational institutions as their way of supporting their employees and helping the communities where their employees live and work. Check with your company's human resources department to find out if your company has a matching gift program.
North Side accepts memorial and tribute gifts to honor a loved one or friend. Memorial and tribute donations are a thoughtful way to recognize a teacher, parent, or student. The person being honored receives a special letter in the mail notifying them of your gift and they also have their name published in our annual report.
If you are 70 and a half, donating directly from your IRA offers potential advantages. A Qualified Charitable Deduction (QCD) to North Side Community School counts toward your required minimum distribution and is not considered taxable income. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA without having to pay income tax on the contribution.
Have the custodian of your IRA send a check directly to North Side Community School, Attn: James Beverly III, 3033 N. Euclid, St. Louis, MO 63115. Gifts must be made before the end of the fiscal year. Contact your financial advisor for additional information.
